Game Client
New stage of optimization
-
The first major update package has been deployed, with a primary focus on improving client stability. The main goal of this update is to reduce critical errors, crashes, and other issues that could cause the client to malfunction or terminate unexpectedly.
-
A major optimization of skill visual effects has been completed. The lifetime of VFX objects has been reworked, reducing the number of lingering particles and other effects that remained active after a skill was completed and unnecessarily increased the client's workload.
-
Visual effect packages for a large number of skills have also been further optimized. These changes reduce the client's workload without altering the visual appearance of the effects, so skills should continue to look consistent with their standard versions.
-
Optimizing visual effects is especially important during large-scale battles and other situations where many abilities are used simultaneously, as the number of active VFX objects can increase significantly under these conditions.
-
The character movement system has been reworked to improve client stability and provide more accurate handling of character states while moving.
-
Fixed rare cases where a player's state could be displayed incorrectly, causing a character to appear alive or dead despite their actual state.
-
The activation sound for Spiritshot and Blessed Spiritshot of all grades has been fixed. A dedicated Spiritshot sound is now used instead of the Soulshot sound.
-
The package also includes numerous additional internal optimizations and fixes designed to improve overall client stability and reduce unnecessary resource usage.
-
This package represents the first stage of our work on client performance. The next stage will be a separate optimization package focused specifically on increasing FPS, raising the minimum performance threshold, and reducing FPS drops during high-load situations.
-
Further optimization work is already underway. The performance-focused package will be deployed separately once testing is complete and sufficient statistics have been collected from the current client version.
Various client improvements
-
UI\Multisell — improved interaction with multisells.
-
After completing a purchase or exchange, the multisell window now remains open.
-
You can now perform multiple operations in the same multisell sequence without having to reopen the NPC and go through the dialogue chain each time.
-
This is especially useful when working with alchemy, allowing you to acquire several recipes or items sequentially without any unnecessary extra steps.
-
VFX — The visual effects system for skills has been significantly expanded and improved.
-
Added and reworked visual effects for CoV, PoV+, and Mage Armor level 70.
-
Improved the visual effects of Prophet, Elven Elder, and Warcryer skills, including Revelation, Prophecy, Chant, and Motive.
-
Updated the visual effects for Soulshot and Spiritshot.
-
Character/Movement — The character movement system in space has been completely redesigned.
-
Movement is now smoother and more precise, with improved synchronization of the character's position in space.
-
Fixed visual desynchronization of character positions after using Rush, Blazing Boost, Charge, and Assault.
-
Fixed cases where characters could fall through textures when descending from great heights.
-
The updated system now accounts for various types of movement, including running, walking, climbing and descending, climbing stairs, crossing water surfaces, skill-based turns and reversals, as well as WASD controls.
-
As a result, character control has become noticeably smoother, more predictable, and more comfortable, while the number of visual desynchronizations during movement has been significantly reduced.

Skills and mechanics
Movement skills
-
The delay after using movement skills has been reworked. Now, after completing a movement animation, the character can perform the next action faster. This will improve interaction with skills for melee classes, make character control smoother and more comfortable, and also fix an issue where skills and normal attacks could be unused on a moving target.
-
Removed 0.2 sec delay after skill cast ends:
-
Rush (Warlord, Gladiator)
-
Assault (Bladedancer, Swordsinger)
-
Charge (Destroyer, Tyrant)
-
Blazing Boost (Bounty Hunter, Warsmith)
-
Delay reduced to 0.1 sec for the following skills:
-
Shadow Step (Treasure Hunter, Plains Walker, Abyss Walker)
-
Swift Rift (Hawkeye, Silver Ranger, Phantom Ranger)
Tattoos
-
Added the ability to install new types of tattoos for Bishop, Elven Elder, and Shillien Elder:
-
+WIT -INT
-
+MEN -INT
-
We're also considering lifting tattoo restrictions for other classes. We'll continue to monitor and analyze gameplay data before making further decisions. Please stay tuned for future patch notes.
-
This change expands character build options and provides more flexibility when choosing enhancements based on role and playstyle. The classic tattoo setup for these classes typically includes +WIT -MEN, +CON -STR, and +DEX -STR. These new options allow some of those choices to be replaced with tattoos that preserve or increase MEN.
-
Influence of the main parameters:
-
WIT increases the cast speed of magical abilities and the chance of critical hits or magical healing. For support classes, this allows them to cast heals, buffs, and other essential abilities more quickly.
-
MEN increases maximum MP, MP regeneration rate, and magical defense, while also improving resistance to magical debuffs. This gives the character a larger resource pool for healing and supporting the party, faster MP recovery, and greater resistance to magical effects.
-
INT affects the effectiveness of magical attacks, debuff penetration, and Mana Burn. Reducing INT lowers the character's offensive potential, but allows those stat points to be invested into MEN, improving survivability, resource management, and resistance to magical effects.
-
What the new tattoo options provide: Bishop, Elven Elder, and Shillien Elder can now trade some INT for WIT or MEN, gaining a larger MP pool and faster regeneration, additional magical defense, and increased resistance to magical debuffs. This can be especially valuable during prolonged fights and in situations where the healer is required to provide constant support to the group.
-
New tattoos don't make the existing options obsolete — they simply add an alternative. Players can choose between greater effectiveness of their own magical attacks and debuffs or increased survivability, resilience, and MP efficiency.
-
Read more about the tattoo system in our Wikipedia.
How does this work
Details
For clarity, let's compare three tattoo options, taking the current +4 WIT -4 MEN option as a starting point:
-
Current option: +4 WIT -4 MEN
-
New option: +4 WIT -4 INT — effectively saves the 4 MEN that were previously lost.
-
Maximum option: +4 WIT -4 INT and +4 MEN -4 INT — additionally gives 4 MEN.
For example, let's consider the effect of MEN on base Max MP. Passive bonuses, equipment, and other additional sources of MP are not taken into account here, so actual values will vary, but the ratio between options will remain comparable.
Bishop: base value — 39 MEN.
-
35 MEN (-4 MEN) → modifier 1.42 → 95.94% of the base value.
-
39 MEN → modifier 1.48 → 100% of the base value.
-
43 MEN → modifier 1.53 → 103.37% of the base value.
If we take the current 35 MEN as 100%, then the transition to 39 MEN gives approximately +4.23% of the base Max. MP, and the transition to 43 MEN already +7.75% relative to the current version.
Elven Elder: Base value — 40 MEN.
-
36 MEN (-4 MEN) → modifier 1.43 → 95.97% of the base value.
-
40 MEN → modifier 1.49 → 100% of the base value.
-
44 MEN → modifier 1.55 → 104.03% of the base value.
Compared to the current 36 MEN, this is approximately +4.20% when returning to 40 MEN and +8.39% when moving to 44 MEN.
Shillien Elder: base value — 37 MEN.
-
33 MEN (-4 MEN) → modifier 1.39 → 95.86% of the base value.
-
37 MEN → modifier 1.45 → 100% of the base value.
-
41 MEN → modifier 1.50 → 103.45% of the base value.
Compared to the current 33 MEN, this is approximately +4.32% when returning to 37 MEN and +7.91% when moving to 41 MEN.
Importantly, this logic applies not only to Max MP. MEN also affects Magic Defense and MP Regeneration. Their exact final increase depends on the character's additional stats and the calculation formula, but the impact of MEN itself remains comparable.
Thus, the new +4 WIT -4 INT tattoo allows you to avoid losing the 4 MEN currently required for +4 WIT. As a result, the healer gains more MP, higher MP regeneration, and increased Magic Defense, as well as additional protection from magical debuffs.
The option with an additional +4 MEN -4 INT enhances this effect even further. However, the increase from the next 4 MEN is slightly less than from the first four, since the MEN value is already higher.
The price of these advantages is a loss of INT. This means weaker debuff penetration, less damage from magic abilities, and less effective Mana Burn. Therefore, the new tattoos don't replace existing options, but rather create a full-fledged choice between different stats.
Ultimately, a healer can choose: maintain INT for greater offensive effectiveness, gain additional MEN for survivability and resources, or use DEX for movement speed and shield blocking. However, these new options don't make a character stronger in every way—they allow them to rebalance their stats to suit a specific role and playstyle.

How does MP regeneration work?
Details
-
MP regeneration = base × mod_lvl × mod_men × state × mod_per + mod_diff
-
base — the basic MP regeneration rate, depending on the character's profession and level.
-
mod_lvl — regeneration modifier depending on the character's level.
-
mod_men — regeneration modifier from the MEN indicator.
-
state — regeneration modifier depending on the current state of the character:
-
Running — ×0.7
-
Step — ×1.0
-
Standing — ×1.1
-
Sitting — ×1.5
-
mod_per — percentage bonus to MP regeneration from skills and items, such as Blue Wolf Robe set.
-
mod_diff — fixed bonus to MP regeneration from skills and items, such as Mana Regeneration passive skill.
-
For comparison, let's look at three characters without additional bonuses from skills and items:
-
Dark Elf Mystic, level 10: 0.9×0.99×1.45= 1.29 MP/sec.
-
Shilien Oracle, level 40: 1.8×1.29×1.45= 3.36 MP/sec.
-
Shilien Elder, level 75: 3×1.64×1.42= 6.99 MP/sec.
-
Thus, the same +1 MP regeneration bonus has different relative value depending on the character's level:
-
Level 10 — approximately +77.5% of base MP regeneration.
-
Level 40 — approximately +29.8%.
-
Level 75 — approximately +14.3%.
Rare bonus Lightning has been improved:
-
Before: P. Crit. Rate +15%.
-
Now: P. Crit. Rate +25%.
-
This change affects the following <rare> weapons:
-
Great Sword
-
Ice Storm Hammer
-
Inferno Master
-
Destroyer Hammer
-
Halberd
-
Elysian*Meteor Shower
How does this work
Details
The bonus multiplies the base Critical Rate value, rather than being added directly to the final value. For example, for Infernal Master, Lightning is wielded by a Destroyer with a +4 DEX tattoo:
-
Character DEX = 30, DEX_mod = 1.10.
-
Base P. Crit. Atk. Chance = 80 x 1.10 = 88.
-
With the old bonus +15%: 88 x 0.15 = +13 to P. Crit. Rate
-
With the new bonus +25%: 88 x 0.25 = +22 to P. Crit. Rate
So for this example, the bonus to P. Crit. Rate increases from +13 to +22
